Our ministry was in mainly two churches running their Awana clubs and interacting with the kids.

On our sightseeing day we were able to go and see this castle in the city of Kanazawa. |
| Here I am giving my testimony at Uchinada Bible Church. It was Katsumi's (our Awana missionary) church. They did so much for us while we were there. |
| We also were able to give counsel times at their Awana clubs. Here Miyo, our translator, is translating for me. She did alot for us and put up well with us "crazy Americans." | ![]() |
| Everyone on the team brought photo albums to share with the Japanese. These were good conversation starters. Well... at least conversation with a translator! | ![]() |
| One big part of our ministry was passing out flyers at schools and inviting kids to clubs we were having. | ![]() |
| Our humble abode! A church member from Uchinada was kind enough to let us stay in his house the whole time we were there. | ![]() |
| The kids liked the balloon animals we gave them. | ![]() |
| Thanks Miyo for all your work!! | ![]() |
| Well, I had to find some Japanese wildlife somewhere and this is all I found! | ![]() |
| This is Uchinada High School. Katsumi was never allowed in this school. But because we were Americans we were able to talk with the students in the English classes about America. Through this we were able to invite some of the kids to a barbeque we were having later that week. This was a major door that was opened! Katsumi will now maybe able to go back in! | ![]() |
| In alot of places you had to take your shoes off. That was the case in the high school. But they did provide these fashionable slippers! | ![]() |
| The Sea of Japan! Only a ten minute walk from where we stayed. This day when we went swimming a photographer from a Japanese newspaper came and took our picture. The next day we did get our picture in the paper! | ![]() |
| Sparkies! | ![]() |
| This little guy we called "Little Sumo." HE could eat quite a bit! | ![]() |
| The Awana kids got to make sushi rolls as a reward for a contest they were in. They loved the sushi like candy. My team and I had some but tried to avoid all their offers after a while. | ![]() |
| Tea time! | ![]() |
| We led a youth group at another church. | ![]() |
| Yum! ...Squid! Get a good look you probably won't ever see me eating it again. | ![]() |
| Most importantly we thank
the Lord and give Him the credit and glory for all that was accomplished
in Japan. For without Him we can do nothing!
